(Ina's Post) NOSTALGIA TUESDAY #3 : NICO Touches the Walls - Hologram

Throwback to FMA Brotherhood!

MV HERE [Since YouTube always deletes the MV T^T]

Today's MV is a bit of a throwback for anime fans out there, especially fans of the anime Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood. The MV and song of review is NICO Touches the Walls' Hologram. When I usually watch anime (which is not much anymore), I usually like the opening but not so much where I research what the song exactly is. This song, however, immediately changed that. I was immediately hooked on this song and listened to it constantly. Now onto the reviews~!

The MV

The MV was simple. However simple doesn't mean that it was bad. It was actually well made and unique in my opinion. It may not seem as much as other MVs with huge budgets, however talent always overpowers the money put into a music video. The entire MV had the band in this white box set. However it wasn't just that. The effects in the MV by using what I believe might be holograms (hence the song title *whacked x1000*) was a very nice touch and went very well with the song.

The members of the band weren't in flashy clothing and their hair and make-up was just natural. They had it right in 2009. From many MVs I have seen over the years, I have come to appreciate the more simplistic MVs more and more. If I had a room like the set of this MV I would just stay there and play for hours with the holographic scenery created.

The Song

Like I mentioned at the beginning of the review this is a song that caught my interest right away just from listening to it once.Back then I wasn't fully into Jpop or Jrock yet I still searched for the translation of the lyrics. What amazes me is how deep the meaning of the song truly is.

The song is about one wanting to go to an unseen world, far away from the grey and boring world that person currently lives in. Although the path may be tough it's still for the greater good to move forward and do what your heart desires. When you enter the new world, all of the judgement that was forced upon you in your old world just vanishes, thus giving you a fresh new start.

The song is very powerful and meaningful that I hope to discover more songs as beautiful songs as this in my life.

Yo~ Here's another Nostalgia Tuesday ne~
I apologize for the lack of pictures and gifs like I usually have in my reviews, but I cannot find anything for this video online or on tumblr T^T It seemed like NICO Touches the Walls had it's popularity boom when they started doing songs for Naruto. On another note LOOK HOW CUTE MITSUMURA TATSUYA LOOKS IN THIS GIF FOR ONE OF THEIR MUSIC VIDEOS~!

See you guys next week!
